RHHB *EXCLUSIVE*: "Anything (but silence) to cure nothing" compilation (2006)

Alright, my peoples.
Since Hook1 has been hittin' the blog with some dope funkamental flavors (BIG ups), I decided to hit up the blog with a little somethin' different as well.

WARNING: This is not your regular Hip-Hop post, so take this into consideration before giving it a listen.

This is a continuous mix I put together using programs on my PC for audio editing and crossfading (I'm not a DJ, no turntables used). It was for an online contest that I decided to enter, which mentioned that all contestants will have to use a variety of genres. If it's just one genre (I was going to do just Rap), you'll be disqualified.

Because of those rules, I ended up putting together a melting pot of music that I wouldn't normally bump. And I must say, it ended up being decent enough for me to be satisfied with, even though I didn't win and didn't use turntables. Overall, it was fun and a good experience for me--an eye-opener to other types of music on the most.

So, If you're into a variety of genres other than Hip-Hop/Rap, check it out...a handful of personally selected tracks that I've thoroughly enjoyed since the mid 90's.

Note: It's a 1-file continuous mix, but here's the track listing for reference. I also included a track listing and custom-made album cover with the download:

01. Catalyst - Perception
02. Gorillaz - November Has Come featuring Danger DOOM
03. Prefuse 73 - Desks.Pencils.Bottles

09. Radiohead - Kinetic
10. The Cardigans - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
