Interesting you say that, I felt the opposite when I heard them. Primo's joint was ok to me, sounds just like another Premier track from a year or two ago. Rick Rubin produces hip hop beats once every several years only, and his last joint was "99 problems" which Jay-Z or no, that shit is a real banger. I felt like Rubin's beat was hotter, and he freaked the shit outta "Gimme the night" to the point where it took me a couple minutes to really place the sample.
